Women have come a long way since women’s suffrage and the ratification of the nineteenth amendment in 1920. The emergence of the women’s voice, women’s ingenuity and women’s intellect has been chiseled from the stoic stones of yesterday’s heroines. The evolution of liberty has been an interesting trajectory and the path varied for many Americans. Yet, upon the platform of our founding fathers’ ideas, based on Mosaic Laws and Christian principles, liberty has continued to grow, adapt and advance.
 
Women, who were once pigeon-holed and restricted by men who had the upper hand in society, are now a challenge in the colleges, a match in the marketplace, and a force with which to be reckoned in the culture. Yet, the prodigy of the suffragettes, who banded together to parade across the Brooklyn Bridge with baby strollers, are now facing a new type of attack. Hysteria versus reason kindled by the liberal, leftist phony war on women.
 
A perfectly reasonable and rational resistance of the Catholic Church against a government mandate that infringes upon their religious freedom, a basic American tenant, has been hi-jacked by the liberals and twisted into a lie. A radical violation of the First Amendment has taken place and the Obama Administration and the liberals, realizing their mistake, quickly did what they do best – spin. Desperate to win the women’s vote in 2012, they created a fictitious Republican War on Women.
 
This message has been manipulated, massaged and manufactured through the media. Though it feels like old news, it is not, and it will be the signature song of the Democratic Party.

The irrelevancy and inaccuracy of the Republican War on Women is frightening. The overlay of the real issue is foreboding. The writing is on the wall is foretelling. Look away, while we impede your fundamental bill of rights.
 
Enter Moveon.org to propagate this phony war on women message. The irony is that Moveon.org was launched during the Clinton Administration to “move away” from Clinton’s misbehavior with women. Are they really looking after the best interest of women?
 
Now, Moveon.org is pitting women against women in a phony debate. There is no war on women. There is no return to the dark ages. Women are not being denied birth control. This isn’t even a birth control issue. The issue is one of Obama’s political ideology – government intervention – and they are preying on women’s vulnerabilities to achieve their goal.
 
Moveon.org and the Obama campaign are hoping that women across America can be
fooled by this sham. However, women are smarter than this. Any woman who believes this phony war on women simply wants to perpetuate the lie and wants Obama re-elected – at any cost.
 
The “move on” tactic, the Republican War on Women, is designed to move attention away from President Obama’s real failings. Obama cannot win with jobs and women. Obama cannot win with the economy and women. Obama cannot win with fuel prices and women. He cannot even win with Obamacare and women and Obama needs women.
 
Yet, women are smart. Women are intuitive. Women know that they, their husbands and their children are dealing with unemployment. Women know they are choosing between fuel and food.
Women know that Obama has stifled the economy, putting his ideologies above the best interests of the people. 
 
Women know they need electricity. Women know they are curtailed as business owners. Women know the dangers of the devastating debt. Women know that our national security is being compromised. Women know that government run health care will be a disaster, already feeling the impact on veterans.

Women know that Constitutional laws are being violated. Women know their liberty is being threatened. Women know their children face a diminished America if they do not act.
 
Women are worried. Women know. Women are smart.
 
Moveon.org move over. Women can always smell a phony. Women are smarter than this.

Do Damage Democrats

Make no mistake, President Obama, the ultimate community organizer has a plan. He crafted one of his of self described “elegant, academic” policies, the American Jobs Act, and he knew it would be dead upon arrival in Congress. He did this, not because it was best for the country, but because he knew, when the reasonable Republicans balked, he could build a 2012 election campaign around Harry Truman’s tired old campaign slogan, “Do Nothing Republicans.”

Obama hopes this sound bite, “Do Nothing Republicans,” along with his “organizing” tactics, such as inspiring class warfare, which has resulted in his premeditated, “Occupy Wall Street,” will result in a win in 2012 – and it just may.

To negate the “Occupy Wall Street” movement simply as a bunch of, “Do Nothing No Goods,” is naive. There is a mission and it is to sub-plant democracy with socialism. “Occupy America,” the take over of our democracy, is propelled by the engine of union involvement, not to mention, Obama’s rich corporate buddies such as George Soros.

Corporate greed is acceptable when it benefits Obama’s cause.

If the hypocrisy of ObamaPolitics isn’t enough to frighten Americans then the “Occupy Wall Street” movement should be. I call them the “Do Damage Democrats,” and whether they are in the White House, Congress, or supinely “occupying” the neighborhood park, they should not be taken lightly. The word Occupy means to “take over.” The dam of the constitution, which holds back anarchy, is vulnerable and the checks on the division of powers are in grave jeopardy.

Obama used, “Hope and Change” as his 2008 campaign slogan and Americans hoped for a change that would bring unity in government. Instead it brought a substantial “change” in government, socialistic policies. What will “Occupy Wall Street” bring us? I say, “Occupy America.” The writing is on Wall Street.

The “Do Not Republicans” slogan must be countered with “Do Damage Democrats.” Here are some of the consequences resulting from the “Do Damage Democrats” by the Numbers, as compiled by the Republican National Committee:

American Republicanism cannot sustain another four years of “Do Damage Democrats.” Our Constitution cannot withstand another four years of “Do Damage Democrats.” Our freedoms and liberties cannot withstand another four years of “Do Damage Democrats.” America cannot withstand another four years of “Do Damage Democrats.”

The choice is stark: Occupy America or Save America. Which will it be? The Obama campaign and his “Do Nothing Republicans” slogan must be curtailed with a sharp, crisp and coherent counter: “Do Damage Democrats.”

Reason must prevail.

As Thomas Jefferson said,

“If there be any among us who would wish to dissolve this union, or to change its republican form, let them stand undisturbed as monuments of the safety with which error of opinion may be tolerated, where reason is left free to combat it.”

Success – A Social Crime

Success has become taboo. Leadership has become unfair. Reason has become politically incorrect and money has become malevolent.

Monochromatic is the theme. Mute is the desire. Mundane is the mission and control is the goal.

Where do we live? America?

In a recent New York Times article James Atlas ridicules the “Super People.” The students who have worked hard and achieved much are taunted in his article like a bully in the schoolyard. According to Mr. Atlas, the “Super People” are only successful because of frustrated helicopter moms or because they stretch the truth on their applications. “Super People” are super weird. The “Super People” made great grades, excelled in sports, and/or music, and contributed to country and society with social service. Losers. Oh, and they only succeeded because their mother made them do it, or they were rich – the 1%.

Where do we live? America?

We are a country that was built on true grit, hard work and a desire to soar on eagle’s wings. Drunk on freedom and free from the chains of tyranny, immigrants were inspired to reach for the sky and seek success. They labored and toiled, passionately pursuing their dreams. Liberty was a gift from God. Talent was admired. Success was revered. Public service was not only a virtue but inherent.

Children from broken homes, poverty, and despair had the opportunity to reach and seek higher ground. Our history is literally filled with examples of young students who studied meticulously, read voraciously and worked many jobs at the same time. Exertion and perseverance were synonymous with American pride and dignity.

Candice Millard, brings to life a stunning example of such attributes in her biography of the often forgotten President, James A. Garfield. He was born in a log cabin and fatherless by the age of one. He worked many jobs to put himself through school. At preparatory school, he studied so diligently he was promoted from janitor to assistant professor. At age twenty-six, he later returned to be the school’s President and passed the Ohio bar in his free time. His adult life mirrored his youth with ardent service to his country and countrymen in combat, Congress and as President.

Other such over achiever kids were George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King. Today, they would be considered “Super People.” Today, they would be muted and shamed for their desire to speak their thoughts, acknowledge their God, seek seemingly attainable goals and God-forbid, win. Today, they would be labeled Mama’s boys, demeaned as privileged, constrained as prejudiced or taunted as eggheads.

Yet, just imagine America without them. Without them, there would be no America.

Is the design of the liberal elite? No America?

We are dangerously on the brink.

James A. Garfield was taught by his mother to “walk with his shoulders squared and his head thrown back.” He was proud to be an American. America gave him the opportunity to achieve his destiny.

Today we teach our kids to hide their heads in the sand like ostriches.

Our children are taught to hold their head down in silence and shame. America is not exceptional. God is not good. Winning is self-indulgent. Succeeding in business is unfair. “Be the 99%.”

Desperately Seeking Statesmen

Americans are smarter than Washington, D.C. thinks. Americans have an inner, inherited intuition about freedom, loyalty, republicanism and Americans don not like what they currently see.

Division. Impasse. Demise. Unemployment. Stagnation. Debt.

Americans know that to get any job done, anywhere, there must be cooperation. Americans know that to achieve this objective there must be a leader who inspires such unity. Americans know that their representatives need to respond to their rallying cry, Think about America and Americans, not Democrats and Republicans.

Americans, whether they are the Tea Party movement or the Occupy America movement, a frightening thought,  are desperately seeking action. Americans see a government that is caught in the mire of division. Let’s face it, no one likes to live in a home where there is anger, bitterness and unproductivity and no one likes to live in a country where there is anger, bitterness and unproductivity.

Our government is being sucked into the quicksand of ineptitude. Obama is giving unrealistic speeches inciting class warfare as he meanders around the country aloof to the needs of the people, focusing purely on his own re-election. He dumps his impractical, incoherent, financially lame jobs bill onto Congress where even his own party is left teetering on the abyss. Democrats represent their constituents after all, not the President. Oh, but who is looking at the Constitution?

Obama inspires slogans like “I’m the 99%” which is arcane, certainly creates no new jobs and inspires no incentive to find resolutions to the crisis at hand. So, America is without a statesman at the helm as President but America is also without a statesman in the Senate. Democrats know that Obama’s job act is nothing more than a campaign ad and community organizer tactic. But does Harry Reid, who knows he doesn’t have the votes among his own party, take a stand against it? No. Who does Harry Reid represent? The President?

Americans are looking for statesmen, not party men, in leadership positions. Americans know that party divide, class warfare and the blind ambition of its leaders are counterintuitive to the extreme crisis at hand. Is it really a surprise that the poll numbers of Congress are at an all time low? Americans are desperately seeking answers, solutions, action and reason. “Where is Reason?”

Americans are wringing their hands and waving flags to a blind government. Perhaps the character of John Adams said it best in the movie “1776,” to a deadlocked Congress,

“Is any body there? Does anybody care? Does anybody see what I see?”
