MoveOn.org, Move Over!

Women have come a long way since women’s suffrage and the ratification of the nineteenth amendment in 1920. The emergence of the women’s voice, women’s ingenuity and women’s intellect has been chiseled from the stoic stones of yesterday’s heroines. The evolution of liberty has been an interesting trajectory and the path varied for many Americans. Yet, upon the platform of our founding fathers’ ideas, based on Mosaic Laws and Christian principles, liberty has continued to grow, adapt and advance.

Women, who were once pigeon-holed and restricted by men who had the upper hand in society, are now a challenge in the colleges, a match in the marketplace, and a force with which to be reckoned in the culture. Yet, the prodigy of the suffragettes, who banded together to parade across the Brooklyn Bridge with baby strollers, are now facing a new type of attack. Hysteria versus reason kindled by the liberal, leftist phony war on women.

A perfectly reasonable and rational resistance of the Catholic Church against a government mandate that infringes upon their religious freedom, a basic American tenant, has been hi-jacked by the liberals and twisted into a lie. A radical violation of the First Amendment has taken place and the Obama Administration and the liberals, realizing their mistake, quickly did what they do best – spin. Desperate to win the women’s vote in 2012, they created a fictitious Republican War on Women.

This message has been manipulated, massaged and manufactured through the media. Though it feels like old news, it is not, and it will be the signature song of the Democratic Party.

The irrelevancy and inaccuracy of the Republican War on Women is frightening. The overlay of the real issue is foreboding. The writing is on the wall is foretelling. Look away, while we impede your fundamental bill of rights.

Enter Moveon.org to propagate this phony war on women message. The irony is that Moveon.org was launched during the Clinton Administration to “move away” from Clinton’s misbehavior with women. Are they really looking after the best interest of women?

Now, Moveon.org is pitting women against women in a phony debate. There is no war on women. There is no return to the dark ages. Women are not being denied birth control. This isn’t even a birth control issue. The issue is one of Obama’s political ideology – government intervention – and they are preying on women’s vulnerabilities to achieve their goal.

Moveon.org and the Obama campaign are hoping that women across America can be
fooled by this sham. However, women are smarter than this. Any woman who believes this phony war on women simply wants to perpetuate the lie and wants Obama re-elected – at any cost.

The “move on” tactic, the Republican War on Women, is designed to move attention away from President Obama’s real failings. Obama cannot win with jobs and women. Obama cannot win with the economy and women. Obama cannot win with fuel prices and women. He cannot even win with Obamacare and women and Obama needs women.

Yet, women are smart. Women are intuitive. Women know that they, their husbands and their children are dealing with unemployment. Women know they are choosing between fuel and food.
Women know that Obama has stifled the economy, putting his ideologies above the best interests of the people.

Women know they need electricity. Women know they are curtailed as business owners. Women know the dangers of the devastating debt. Women know that our national security is being compromised. Women know that government run health care will be a disaster, already feeling the impact on veterans.

Women know that Constitutional laws are being violated. Women know their liberty is being threatened. Women know their children face a diminished America if they do not act.

Women are worried. Women know. Women are smart.

Moveon.org move over. Women can always smell a phony. Women are smarter than this.

So pleased to find your blog. Thank you for putting this out there, and for speaking the truth. I am so, so tired of this faked up “war on women”.

My previous comment about Dick Armey was suppose to be amusing, heaven forbid some liberal think I am suggesting we all get a gun…although they would be the first to spin it that way.

  4. This is written so well and I think would honestly serve as a fantastic format if you will for the video by showing different women living out those exact situations and the absurdity of the supposed war on women. For instance, a forlorn husband breaks the news to his wife that he has lost his job and is concerned how the piles of bills will be paid. His wife consoles him by saying, “Don’t worry. My birth control will be covered for free soon and that will solve everything.”

Next, a woman approaches her neighbor: “Sue, could I borrow a cup of sugar?”
“Sorry, Ann, but I had to put gas in the car and I couldn’t afford to buy any groceries this week. But as soon as I get free contraception, I can help you out.”

Next, a woman bumps into a friend at a bed and bath type store, noting her basket full of candles. “Stocking up for gifts?”
“No, our utility bills are skyrocketing, and our electricity was shut off. You know, I blame the war on women. Free birth control would have prevented this.”

Those are just a few examples of where it could go with it all being concluded with the exact point that women indeed ARE smarter than that.

Dick Armey in response to the Clinton intern debacle once said “if my wife ever caught me doing that, I would be lying in a pool of blood, with my wife asking me how to reload the gun”.
Republican women aren’t going to listen to BS, they will just act.
Women have what I call “BS-protectors” and whenever I hear any of the “war on women” diatribes or theatrics my “BS-protector” goes off loud & clear. Who do they think they are fooling, and do liberal’s really think women are so easily lead?

  6. President Barrack Hussein Obama’s behavior, and representation of this great nation, is totally, without precedent, humiliating to the honorable, God-fearing people of the United States of America! JAMJr. (\o/)

  7. ANALYSIS/OPINION: [From The "Washington Tomes," Charles Hurt].

    Sharing with Janine’s Loyal Followers:

We have been Embarrassed enough, please share this “Opinion,” with as many of your families, friends and acquaintances who you believe may have enough, “Walking-Around-Sense,” to go, “Unassisted” to a voting place in November, and vote for another United States Citizen, with true “patriotic character,” and “walking-Around-Sense,” [not simply "Styling-Around-Sense,"] as President of the United States of America!!! Just saying….James McElroy, Jr. -Houston, Texas, USA.

The past seven brutal days will go down as one of the worst weeks in history for a sitting president. It certainly has been, without any doubt, the worst week yet for President Obama.
Somehow, Mr. Obama managed to embarrass himself abroad, humiliate himself here at home, see his credentials for being elected so severely undermined that it raises startling questions about whether he should have been elected in the first place — let alone be re-elected later this year.
    Consider:
    • Last Friday, Mr. Obama wandered into the killing of Trayvon Martin. Aided by his ignorance of the situation, knee-jerk prejudices and tendency toward racial profiling, Mr. Obama played a heavy hand in elevating a tragic situation in which a teenager was killed into a full-blown hot race fight.
Americans, he admonished, need to do some “soul-searching.” And then, utterly inexplicably, he veered off into this bizarre tangent about how he and the poor dead kid look so much alike they could be father and son. It was election-year race-pandering gone horribly wrong.
    • By the start of this week, Mr. Obama had fled town and was racing to the other side of the planet just as the Supreme Court was taking up the potentially-embarrassing matter of Obamacare. While in South Korea he was caught on a hidden mic negotiating with the president of our longest-standing rival on how to sell America and her allies down the river once he gets past the next election.
    • Meanwhile, back at home, the Supreme Court took up the single most important achievement of Mr. Obama’s presidency and, boy, was it embarrassing. The great constitutional law professor, it turns out, may not quite be the wizard he told us he was.
By most accounts, Mr. Obama and his stuttering lawyers were all but laughed out of the courthouse. They were even stumbling over softball questions lobbed by Mr. Obama’s own hand-picked justices.
    • Mr. Obama closed his week pulling off a nearly unimaginable feat: He managed to totally and completely unify the nastily-fighting Democrats and Republicans in Congress. Late Wednesday night, they unanimously voted — 414 to zip — to reject the budget Mr. Obama had presented, leaving him not even a thin lily’s blade to hide behind.
So, in one week, Mr. Obama got caught whispering promises to our enemy, incited a race war, raised serious questions about his understanding of the Constitution, and then got smacked down over his proposed budget that was so wildly reckless that even Democrats in Congress could not support it.

It was as if you lumped Hurricane Katrina and the Abu Ghraib abuses into one week for George W. Bush. And added on top of that the time he oddly groped German Chancellor Angela Merkel and got caught cursing on a hot mic.

  8. Rob Petersen says:

Great read Janine! I saw you on O’Reilly tonight, and I couldn’t agree with you more. There is no more a human right violation there than the Boy Scouts excluding girls or vise-versa. The liberals will likely spin this as part of their fictional “War on Women” too I suppose, but as you’ve pointed out, most women are smarter than all this.

As I’ve said before, thanks for your reasonable voice in an increasingly unreasonable world. (Okay, it was “conservative voice ” the first time, but I had to mix it up a little)

I never thought I’d see the gov’t push so hard for something so patently un-American & un-Constitutional in my lifetime.
