In an interview on Saturday’s edition of The Janine Turner Show on 570 KLIF, Janine Turner asked Republican Presidential Nominee Hopeful Senator Santorum to elaborate about his “traditional family” stance and how he planned to reach out to non-traditional families and single mothers.
When Turner commented that pregnant women who choose life are often abandoned, Santorum responded, “That’s why talking to young boys is even more important than talking to young girls.”
Turner asked what the responsibility of the President was on this issue. Santorum likened the issue to First Lady Michele Obama’s efforts regarding obesity. He responded that the President can help by “encouraging people to take steps in their own local communities and their families and that’s an important part of being a President and being a First Lady is to have that discussion and believe in America and the opportunity for us to solve these problems from the bottom up.”
